3pc. band with a front guy. Our thing has been classic rock, but I am open to suggestions.
Here is a current list (basic Bar Band set) that you can use to form your own sets :
Should I stay or should I go
Are you gonna be my girl
weezer Beverly hills
Foo Fighters learn how to fly
American Girl Tom Petty
Pearl Jam Alive

Think about adding a "WHO" song...maybe "Behind Blue Eyes"..

Check out this live band site. The moderator has put together lots of professional classic rock and dance band sets almost guaranteed to keep the cougars dancing all night. Pick and choose the tunes that suite your tastes.
Another case of the no one really understood your question.
What I would do is first go through all your filler and select ones out of the filler that are still killer. For example, I think Last Dance of Mary Jane is a pretty standard tune, but I also think that its a fun tune to play, a good tune, and a crowd please.
Another thing to do would be like play hits by people that aren't necessarily their biggest. For example.. Maroon 5.. instead of playing This Love or Sunday Morning.. play Harder to Breath. Same album.. was an earlier hit off of it that made noise but not quite as much.
Also play lots of Van Halen. I don't hear enough of that covered.
