  1. I'm thinking about refinishing this bass

    in this color

I'm going to paint the headstock as well and use either one of these designs for a water slide decal.

I might even put a large one of these on the body:

Black vinyl fretboard bocks will complete the look.

Which logo would you choose, or do you have another design idea?

How’s all that gonna fit on that headstock? Put the BOSS 302/stripe on the body or something.

I can't judge without seeing them on the headstock.

I would add Crafted in the U.S.A. or something similar to whichever one you go with.

I like this one best. It preserves more of the genuine Boss 302 logo.

If you want, I'll create a totally clean vector version of this when I get back in town tonight.
  15. That would be great! The original headstock logo has that "Peavey" lettering.

    What does "clean vector" mean?
  16. I vote MR Ogle's logo too! Nicely done!

It's a type of graphic format. Now here is too much information: :)

Basically it means the graphic is code-based, and can be infinitely scaled (so it could be printed on the head of a pin or the side of a barn, and each would look equally clean and crisp). It is primarily used for logos and illustration, and uses solid colors and relatively simple gradients--it is not a format for photographs. If you're familiar with the Adobe graphics suite, these would be made with Illustrator. Common file extensions are .ai .wmf and .eps.

The other kind of graphic is known as raster, and it is pixel-based. With this format, the image gets increasingly pixelated and "fuzzy" as it is enlarged. This format is far more common and is the standard image you see on the internet. In the Adobe suite, these would be made with Photoshop.File extensions include .jpg .tif .bmp .wmf, etc.
  19. I vote for Mr. Ogles logo, but I would use the same letter style and change it to BASS 302! Just change the O and use an A with the same rounded top shape as the O.
  20. Something like this....full credit to M.R. Ogle.
