Right now i've really been diggin a band called A Billion Ernies. Their bassist has some sick lines, and his tone is perfect in there mix, and im looking for something similiar for my band. Any song off their last album has the tone (Please Do Not Reveal The Ending), and hermit crab on their myspace is a fine example of the tone, and the song Lime Tree (for those who feel like downloading a song off limewire or something) is probably the best example of the tone, and not to mention the bassline in it is amazing.

I have an ampeg svt 3 pro, ampeg 12" & 15", and either a Warwick Thumb or Fender Standard Jazz bass for the tone. Any EQ settings, string suggestions, or any comments on how i can achieve this tone would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for your replies ahead of time.

Baird6869 RIP Gord Downey. A True Canadian Icon.

Sounds kinda Warwick-y or maybe like a Fender P. Kinda hard to tell.

Why don't you just message them at myspace and ask?

That tone screams Stingray to me.
Also if you look in the video on their myspace page, looks like that's what he's playing...

Looks like hes playing some sort of stingray copy. The headstock does not look like a stingray. From what i could see, it was some weird tuner configuration..

  7. On the pics, he is playing an ibanez btb

The power of TB! Thanks for the info! I like your band's sound, the OP is right, your bass sits perfectly in that mix.

You guys sound awesome bryan, great tone too. You remind me alot of a local band around here called dalys gone wrong. Here's their myspace, they're metal and ska too.
