Help me identify a Jazz bass body

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Trod, Apr 2, 2006.

  1. Hi, thanks for looking. I have a jazz bass body that I think might be an actual fender. It has written in the neck pocket JB-62D/GF
It is black and I wonder if it is a Geddy Lee body. Can anyone help me out and let me know if it's a mexican or MIA or MIJ or perhaps not a Fender at all?
    Thanks

Perhaps a photo would help... But a JB-62 sounds like a MIJ model designation. Not a Geddy Lee, but I can't quite figure out the D/GF.
