Help me, Lest I electrocute myself (banana plug question)

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Sanctum, May 14, 2003.

  1. I just got a WT-800 and was going to bridge it into my 410XLT with a dual banana plug cord. The banana plugs sit nice and snug in the amp (slides all the way in til plastic meets plastic), but on the cab side the plug doesnt seem to want to go all the way in - there is maybe an 1/8" gap. Given the amount of power that will be flowing, I just wanted to see if this was "normal" or if I'm missing something simple.

try unthreading the bannanna inputs at the cab a bit so you can get the plugs in further

speaker level voltage wont kill ya, but if the cable short syou could fry your amp
