playing around with the G&L bass configuration…..I discovered vintage white today:D I was pretty much set on ordering a black n' maple bass, but this vintage white thing has me spinning. I've uploaded 6 different configs, which do you like the best

1 - my original vision, black and maple w/ 3ply black guard
    2 - black and maple w/ 3ply mint guard
    3 - black and maple w/ 3ply cream guard

4 - my new fav, vintage white and ebony w/ 1ply black guard
5 - vintage white and ebony w/ 3ply cream guard
6 - vintage white and ebony w/ 3ply mint guard

I agree with 1 or 4. I'm a sucker for birdseye, but 4 looks sharp!

I ordered a margarita metallic SB-1 back in December. I'm really getting impatient.

Their cream guard doesn't look as it does in the pics, check the photos on the G&L site, it's a bit TOO cream for vintage white.

Their mint also looks nothing like those pics, it's a lot more subtle

(I had a vintage white LB100 with cream guard... Yech)

I like #3, but with an ebony board in place of the b/e maple.

My Vint white SB-2 with brown tort guard...

Vintage white body for sure. Both the cream and black pick guards look good. I like a maple neck though.

I like the vintage white with either cream or tort guard.

I'm not a fan of the birdseye board on these types of instruments as it doesn't look traditional (to me).

I vote for #6 out of those. I assume it will be a #6 neck too. ;)

Number 5 for me. But I'd also consider a traditional maple board instead of the rosewood or birdseye.
