so I've had this svt-3 for about 3 months. I like it the sound alot, but I feel as though it isn't quit loud enough. I was wondering if matching it with an ampeg cabinet will make it louder. The two cabs I'm using are carvin both 8 ohms. also I heard that you should stay away from the low button on the amp because it will decrease its volume. I play with two other guitar players who use devilles, we play simple poppy indie rock. If anyone has any input in how I could increase the volume of my amp that would be great. the cabs say they can handle 500 watts each.
You are running at four ohms now because of the two 8 ohm cabs. You are running at the full pontential of the SVT-3. I feel the SVT-3 to actually be weaker than my SWR Bass 350 running a 8ohms. Not loud enough? What do you mean? You cant be heard over a drummer or a guitarist or both?
the far right eq slider(which is the volume for the graphic eq)should be up all the way, with the "Graphic EQ" switch depressed
I've had my svt3 for a year and I've been able to shake the [email protected] out of almost any venue I play. Do you have both the gain and the master turned up?
I have an SVT3-Pro also, and am having a different problem (which is in a different thread) but I also am unimpressed with the supposed 450 watts when playing at 4 ohms.
Yea 900 for a SVT is too much for the wattage, it is so much weaker than my Bass 350, it sounds puny with a 410 compared to my Bass 350 with a 410. But I must say that it can seriously push out some low end.
