I promised my girlfriend that i would write her a love song on my bass(no vocals though ) and now she is wanting to hear it, the problem is i havent even started. I can write bass lines butt i cannot write pretty songs that girls would love, if anyone could please give me something that they made up so i can quikly learn it and make her happy, i would be in yur debt, and could you please make sure it isn't a song by a band so i can tell her its orginal, also make it short and easy learn. thanks poopy
No offense but.....FOOL! You're gonna get yourself in a worse mess by lying. We aren't gonna clean this up for you. Try tabcrawler.
So, you want one of us to give you a song that we likely wrote for our girlfriend, so you can play it for your girlfriend and reap the rewards? Play "Possum Kingdom" by The Toadies for her, she'll love ya for it.
ya, i would ask TC butt they all suck there and all guy guys are soooo cool*cough* im a suck up*cough*, but ill try that song you gave me hategear, and yes, i am a fool, butt if it all works out ill be getting lots of poontay! lol, thanks poopy
try and jazz up the kinks "all day and all of the night" the lyrics are actually quite romantic. if not than just make something up from simple chords and what not.
heres an idea, why dont you try telling her the truth, and say sorry, but i didnt write one yet, or just tell her your still working on it. But goodness man dont pass someone elses music off as your own!! To get started listen to alot of different ballads, anything slow and sultry is usually good. This will help solidify them in your mind. Then sit down with your bass and start playing stuff that comes to mind, use whatever sounds good to you as your starting point. Then expand off of that. ps: it also helps out a bit if you can tap out a beat or come up with some sort of drumline/melody in your head. this usually works for me
thanks for all your help you guys have given me, i did write her a song, kinda i just changed blink 182 carousel around a bit and played that, not that hard and sounds gud, so i played that and she loved me for it thanks again poopy
Here´s a love song tabbed by our good friend JT: C---2--2----------3h4---4h5---------3-----3----- G-----3------------------------------------------ D---------------7-7-7-----------9----7----12---- A-----------6-----------------8----8----9------- E---------5---5--------0h2 0h3------------------ B-----2/4---------------------------------------- F#----------------12------8/11------------------ he might give you a sound samle, ask him
heres a cool groove you can kick out for your lady it goes.. a little.. like.... this Ba dum da dum bop bop ba ba du daaaaah. Sca dap bad zwee dap... bababab bop bop bop bad du ba du ba ba ba dap ba ba ska du ba dwap. I call this piece "scatting on the shore when I wake up in the moring and I have nothin else to do but watch the sunrise wearing only a bowtie" I thought the name was kind of catchy
I hope you're referring to scatting as a Jazz idiom, not the "other" meaning...without your trou, Im not sure.
we gotta work on your spelling mate, But- (alternative) the opposite to what is expected. Butt- one's beyond, or better yet the thing you sit on (and I dont mean your chair).
If JT doesn't stop posting these beautiful pictures, we will all throw away our inferior basses and spend our lives in pursuit of greater glory. Or we could just rob his shop. THen, of course, we'd have to mess with the guy who plays a double-neck 14 string.
