HELP MEE!!!!!!

ok, i know there have been threads on ths before, but none of them have helped me. I want ot buy an OLP bass, i found it on musiciansfriend.com THe only problem is that i dont know how to set it up or anything. I dont know much about basses, since i have only been playing for just over a year. Will it need to be set up after playing it for a while, will the neck need fixing? can someone please help me?

one more thing, since i probably wont be buying online, do u think the local music store will order one so i can buy it, i called them, but they had never even heard of em, but htey had a copy of a stingray, i think it was a Samieck, are they any good. I know that i want a copy of a 'ray.
