Yesterday I noticed that my A string was dead, so today I bought a new pack of strings, changed all of them and still the A string sounds dead... :bawl:

It is a 2007 Fender Mustang and the strings are Fender 5250XL.

Which by the way were on clearance at GC from 24 to 12 bucks

    Hopefully is not the PUP...

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

    I setup & repair guitars & basses
    It's not the pickup.

Same brand/gauge of strings? They could have had a run of bad A strings.

Enough winds on the A string tuner?
