Jet DC1200 motor kicked the bucket. the smell of burnt motor is not wonderful. :scowl: I am dead in the water without that tool.

Any suggestions of what to replace it with. Ben looking on Amazon but tempted to see what my local woodcrafters has. I can't afford to be closed while waiting for one to arrive.

Tom, I have a guy down my street that has one and is very happy with it. I do not know if it is as powerful as your jet, but seems quite pleased with it, and it's inexpensive.

I have two Grizzly dust collectors, and they've served me well for about 18 years. But both of them fried their original switches after a few years. I replaced them with better quality switches, and they've been fine since. Check there first. The power switches are a weak spot on most import machines.

Thanks I will look into that.

  9. Wouldn't it be easier to just replace the motor, rather than buy a whole new system?

Didn't I see a Grainger down the road from you? There's got to be some way to repair it. Even just getting a seperate blower maybe?
