Not sure if this is in the correct forum or not...I havn't seen something like this here before so I hope that it's alright.

My group, Choose to Find, is planning a tour from Boston to California and back and we need your help. If you like the soundclips that I have on my page here: http://www.myspace.com/emjazz, and know of a great place in your area that you think we'd fit, than let us know. Any suggestions are good ones. Any info is appreciated. We're amped and ready to go, all we need now are some destinations. Let me know what you think. We're looking forward to bringing our hybrid of sound to your area and meeting some great people along the way.

    Thanks all!
    Cheers.
    Andy.

The very best jazz club in Austin is The Elephant Room. Clint Eastwood comes in there to listen, often. Its a wonderful place, too, below street level, dark and cool. Austin has no smoking in bars, now, just as an FYI.

I'll nose around and see what else I find. I play out north so much, I haven't been downtown, but for one show, in months, and don't know where the jazz is, these days.

    Cherie :)

I'm a rock guy so haven't been to all of them, but my Jazz friends have dragged me to Jimmy Mak's a few times. Was a nice place, good music, good atmosphere (for me), and seemed like a built in audience.

Guys, thank you both so much.

Kevin, I'll be sure to check that one out in Providence. I don't know anything abuot that area and it's really close by. I'll start with the place that you mentioned.

grygrx, Colombia...perfect. I'm sure we'll be heading through that way as I have a bunch of places to call in St. Louis. Thank you!
