ok guys(and gals), i have a question that i need answered because im not much on amp knowledge. ok, so heres the deal. i put a post of my Michael Kelly Fretless 5-string on craigslist, saying i wanted 400 for it or i might do a trade. this MK goes for about 600 new btw. so i got a responce from a guy from a local church with an offer for a trade of "studio stuff". when i asked him what he meant by studio stuff, he told me he had a SWR 4004 Workingman Bass head that he would trade with me for my MK. i did what research i could and it looks to be a pretty sturdy amp. from what i found, im pretty sure it can outpower my GK Backline 600 that i use now. he said that its in great condition and sounds great. so my question is this a good amp for this trade? im going back to all electric, once i get rid of the MK. has/does anyone use one? tone? options? just want to know about them. thanks, Ryan
Doesn't sound like an even trade to me. I'm not exactly sure what those amps go for, but I would think he should be giving you some cash too.
thanks. i did some more reasearch and it isnt what im looking for. my GK is working fine for me, so the MK is going to the bay.
