I was wondering if anyone had any advice or knew anywhere where I could get information on becoming a faster fingerstyle player using two fingers alternating. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Most people hear recommend starting out slow, and go for accuracy. Once you have accuracy, then build speed with the aid of a metronome, with increments of 10bpm for example. then, when you're plucking around 16th @ 180, go back to the start with building accuracy at slow tempos.
I always tried to look at it like "tapping" for lack of a better word when playing alternate with two or even three fingers. As opposed to really pulling on the strings when playing slower, heavier basslines.
Go to www.musicdojo.com and check out Adam Nitti's technique course. Plenty of great lessons and exercises in that course
