Ask for Grasshopper, their pickup guru. He is somehow hooked up with Bartolini and gets them faster than anyone I know of (or he knows of). Plus, their prices are excellent.

 

I second bass central. They are very good to deal with as far as price, service and speed to ship. I bought my Nemesis amp from them for the best price in the country and had to shipped the same day.

That's the same experience I had with Gard and his buddies, too, Chas. I ordered an alnico Basslines MM and the Tone Circuit. They had the Circuit on stock and had to order the MM. They got on the horn immediately to Alex at Basslines and got an order in for one of the only three remaining 5-string Basslines alnico MM's left.

They said it would be shipped to my luthier in 7 days. Based on other music store experiences, (except Bass NW), I'm thinking, "Yeah, give it a couple weeks in reality." But they were right on the money to the day about when they would receive it and they turn around and shipped it to my luthier the same day. Plus, as you say, the price was the best I found, including Guitar Villa.

 

Does anyone know about some european company which i can order a bartolini preamp from? The shippingcosts from the states would probably be way too big for me...
