    Hello,

I'm considering buying a Carver PM600. It says it bridges to 700W at 8Ohm.

I read in another thread that it can't be bridged at 4Ohm.

Does that mean I can't run two Aguilar GS112s (8Ohm) with the amp in mono? It doesn't offer enough power stereo or parallel to run them that way.

    Thanks.

If the literature for the amp doesn't give a 2 ohm per channel stereo rating or a 4 ohm bridged rating, then you are correct...no 4 ohm loads in the bridged mode for the Carver PM600.

FWIW, Carvin is having a nice sale on the CP series power amps... the big one (CP1800 IIRC) is only $199.99. 1800 watts bridged into 4 ohms for $200 is quite a deal on a name brand power amp. See them at www.carvin.com

NCI, etc. just seems like a heck of a deal!!

or 900 watts bridged into 4 ohms for $179.99...
