My wife has been begging me to put season one of Heroes on her zune for an upcoming plane ride to the UK. Of course I procrastinated and she leaves on Saturday. She is gonna kill me if I don't figure it out. Help???
Okay I am trying out the Videora converter so we'll see but if anyone else has done this please tell me how you did it.
I've been using AnyDVD + Handbrake to convert videos for my upcoming iPhone purchase. Should work for you too. AnyDVD is great. First 21 days are free. Handbrake is very easy to use as well. Install them both and rip away. bc
I downloaded the newest version of HB. And I initialize the conversion and bam stackdump. What the hell that means I have no idea. Basically Vista turned my computer into a $2500 paperweight.
I just did a quick google search for "vista handbrake stackdump". People are experiencing that issue in XP SP2 too. Why so quick to call it a vista issue? Anyway, here's a helpful thread: http://forum.handbrake.fr/viewtopic.php?t=652 From what people are saying in the thread it seems like it might be an issue with removing the copyright. People seem to have the issue using other decryptors besides AnyDVD. I have not had that problem using AnyDVD and others in the thread have said they did have it with other programs but not AnyDVD. You can take advantage of the AnyDVD 21 day free trial to see if that solves your issue. bc
Its just been an on going issue, my internet explorer has stopped working so i have to use firefox. The whole system crashes about once a week. Randomly various programs (mostly games) will just shut down and give me an error message that says "this program has stopped working" I really could go on. Thanks for your help. I have been using Videora with a slight amount of success.
If your system crashes once a week, Vista isn't to blame. It has issues but it is an extremelly stable system, much more than XP actually. It isn't VIsta's fault either if IE stops working.
Well whatever the issue, I am going to back up my files tomorrow and wipe the hard drive. This machine is less than a year old and is made of high quality parts professionally pieced together by a little place I like to call PC Club. Maybe its all the pornography I look at?
I hope not or my computer is really at risk. Most common crash causes are memory stick and cooling issues.
Regular use of Internet Explorer can lead to many malfunctions later. If you can, stick to Firefox. And by once a week, do you mean you don't turn off the comp daily (when you're done using it) ?
