I have an ibanez gsr200 which has almost no shielding on the electronics. I want to replace all the unshielded wires with shielded ones, and shield the internal cavities somehow. is there a metalic tape i can use, and where can i get it? I have 24 gauge two conductor shielded wire from a project, would this be acceptable in my bass? thanks, andy
www.readcustom.com Jack Read can get you everything you need, and is incredibly helpful with any questions you have. He has the copper tape (1" wide is what I used) you'll need to shield the cavity. As far as the wire goes. I think what you have should be fine, but as Jack when you call. Good luck.
thanks for the sudgestion catphish. I found some alluminum tape today (origionaly ment for duct work on air conditioners). should this work for shielding? thanks
