ok so i have narrowed it down to these two amps...

    which one???

any negative feedback on the heads would be appreciated.

i'm looking for a lots of low and mids i want heaps of mid growl bordering on a subtle overdrive. I have played the bassman 300 but not loud enough to check it at stage volumes....any suggestions?

  2. the Fender has a huge eq section, and lots o bells and whistles, the Marshall is the epitome of all tube power and simplicity. if you like the tone of the marshall, go for it, but it's like the SVT, a bit of a one trick pony. What it does, it does excellently, but if you need versatility, go for the Fender. The Marshall also has an extra 100watts...

so when you say "one trick pony" what is that trick..

the svt is like that mid range growl thing...whats the vbas???

(only heard VBAs on a few recordings)

  4. I'm not 100% on this one, But I think the VBA has more of that Trace V series, Orange, British tube thing going on... I think you may be able to get a nice growl out of it, but it would probably also have to be very loud... I can't comment on it's low end though?
