I need some help... my Avatar 15 makes some kind of distorting/farting sound when I play. Im not overpowering it or maxing out my amp - im pretty sure something might be loose or whatever but i have no clue what and how to fix it. If anyone knows what the hell im talking about could you please help me out. Thanks SO much!
  2. A few thoughts:

    - The coil could be rubbing against the magnet pole
    - The coil's glue could have molten at one time, disconnecting is from the cone
    - The surround could be damaged
    - A coil wire could have ripped
    - Something's loose inside the cabinet (connector plate)

    To name but a few........

    - Amp could be damaged

    To name another one
  3. My first thought was towards an off centre cone, too. If you can clearly defing the pitch of the note played along with the disgusting noise then the speaker is prime suspect. The amp comes second. If the pitch isn't really defined at all then the amp is prime suspect.

Either way, switch off and get it to a reliable tech.
