    Hello all,
I just purchased a used G&L bass that I really like except for one thing; it buzzes at the sixth fret. I tried raising the action and turning the truss rod but nothing seems to work. What seems really odd is that the sixth fret is the only one that buzzes. None of the other frets do. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I'm assuming you mean when you PLAY at the 6th fret (not the 6th fret is buzzing when you play at the 5th). Sounds like your 7th fret is too high and needs to be re-seated or ground/filed and buffed to the proper height. Find a good guitar repair guy (who has the right tools for this).
