Help with figuring out a Claypool Delay setting

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Muttluk, Jan 7, 2002.

  1. Recently, i've gotten into listening to more and more primus, and figured Eclectic Eclectic would be a fun song to figure out how to play. Well i got half of it figured out, but i cannot get my delay to come out right. I know that he used his Lexion (sp?) MX2 when writing/recording the song, and i've just been using my Boss DD-3... so any suggestions, i've tried almost every setting i can think of, and nothings working. I know this is a shot in the dark, but its worth a shot.

  2. Delay has to be one of the more tricky effects out there and that song is covered in pure echo cheese. I've had lots of luck with that song with my DL4. I've got that sound by using the digital delay sim, setting delay time really slow and like one repeat... I'd like to say that's around 660 or 500 in more technical terms but the delay's level is definatly very subtle.
