Hey all, first time poster here.

I've been playing bass for 16 years, mostly metal on an '01 Ibanez EDC700 4-string. The luthite has served its purpose, but I'm ready to move on.

I'm in the market for a 5-string, and was hoping for some suggestions from all of you. I thought I would make my "wish-list" of features and see if there is anything out there you all could point me in the direction of. (P-bass would be ideal, if I could find the following features...)

    Wants:
    -Active Pickups
    -3-band EQ
    -24 frets
    -Neck/Bridge/Blend selectable pickups
    -Alder or ash body
    -Rosewood Neck
-Looking for a versatile sound, good sustain, deep lows and plucky highs.

    Any suggestions?

A 24 fret P maybe if you made a Warmoth.

Well, it is only a two-band cut only, but G&L L2500 is a great bass. I've got a Tribute version and it is just killer.

    DSCF5919.

May not work for you since it has 21 frets.
