Help with settings for funk!

    hello, i just got my first bass a few days ago its a Fender Jazz Bass (mexican), i have a Line 6 lowdown amp . i was checking out the EQ but i couldnt find a kind of funkstyle , can someone help? the EQ has drive, treble, bass, hi-low, mid-low, a smartfx with filter, octaver and chorus.. opt comp. and 4 styles: rock, R&B, clean and grind

    Fingerstyle (Bootsie-esque), thumbstyle (Larry Graham-esque), slap and pop...

    That something you'll have to find because everyone hear different. But try this.
    Bass at 2 oclock, treble at 2 oclock, low-mid at 10 oclock, hi-mid at 11 oclock, drive at 11 oclock, smartfx off, octaver and chrous off, opt comp maybe 10 oclock, If you have to use a styles try them all until you hear what you want. Make sure your pickups pan is 70-30 forward the neck. Treble -1, bass + 2 mid flat. After these setting you can ajust to your taste.
