Help with static sound from my preamp

Hey guys. I have run into a little problem with my rig. It sounds like I am watching a TV channel with no signal. I have isolated the problem to my ADA MB-1. I'm getting that snowy static sound. I love the preamp but the static sound is just killing me, I'm much happier plugging directly into my CA9. I do know that my output level pot on the MB-1 needs cleaning but it sounds to me like this is quite a bit more severe than just a problem with the pot(hopefully it isn't). I was wondering a few things...

How exactly do I clean the pot?

If this is a more severe problem, where/who should I take the preamp to get checked out?

If anyone has any suggestion on what I should try doing I'm all ears.

    Thanks in advance!!
