Help with the Left hand Slap!

    i can get the slap down with my right hand very good but my left hand is very weak.. I dont know if i know the right technique for the left hand. How do you get those sounds other than hammering and please explain the muting process before i go out and buy a useless DVD like my last one. Thank you :bassist: :hyper:

    All of the motion for the LH slap should come from the first knuckle - the one that attaches your fingers to your hand. Keep the fingers straight; move all four LH fingers as a unit; come down quickly on all four (or whatever) strings and don't bounce back up immediately.

    Speed is more important than force in getting a nice LH slap tone.
