I have a 1 year old Dell XPS410 computer running 32 bit Vista, and I just came home today, tried to start it up and it says to reinstall the OS. It told me to put the Vista disc in and then to restart, and it will install, but when I do that it brings me to the same screen that I began with. Suggestions?

    Get Windows 7.
  3. Check your bios to make sure that CDROM is set ahead of your hard drive in boot order.

How do I do that without being able to go anywhere other than the error screen.

Nevermind, didn't feel like dealing with it so I just reformatted.

This happened to a work pc and I had to use a linux live disk to delete the file that kept it in the loop. A big PIA if reformatting is not an option.

Glad it worked out for you.
  7. Running build 7077 here, and it's pretty awesome so far.
