    right! am on the brink of getting an AMAZING thrash metal sound but am stuck and i need help.

    right here are my amp and pick up settings just now.

    amp 'Laney R2'

    High input
    Gain - 6/10
    bass - up full
    freq - 150
    mid - 6/10
    treble 6/10
    presence 6/10

    Bass 'Epiphone Thunderbird'

    neck pickup 10/10
    bridge pick up 0/10
    pick up volume 10/10

    could any of you help me in tweaking my setup to geta better sound. Also what type of stirngs do u reccomend i use if i am playin Hard rock/Thrash metal

  3. Drop the bass a bit on your amp, flat out will probably be too muddy and indistinct.

    I'm confused by your Tbird controls... On mine it was;

    Neck p'up vol
    Bridge p'up vol

    If that's the case, try bringing some bridge p'up into the equation also, the tone will become more focused.
