I finally got some photo-editing software to cut down the scan I have from an old issue of Bass Player showing the world record bass amp as used by Jeff Pilson when he played for Dokken back in the late 80s. Enjoy! :bassist:

  4. Cool, but I think that it is about the fourth time I've seen that amp on this forum. Is that Jeff Pilson in that picture (he didn't age real well did he?)

Nope. That is second biggest. Ampeg had a 36x10 at Namm this year. That is only 32x10.

I bet that thing is like -16 ohms. :p

Yeah, that's what I want to know too. What kind of head did he use to drive those things?

well, I wonder what kind of vehicle he use to transport that thing, a crane? That would really pump the brown note. It's like phil jones cabs with 10's!

It's just 4 8x10's on their sides, seperates of course.

Why is that *the biggest rig ever*....is it because it has one amp? or because it has 32x10 speakers? They appear to be 8x10's laid on their sides, nothing spectacular about that :/. If you got to a rock/metal show you'll probably find 2 Ampeg SVT-810E's with two Ampeg SVT-4 Pro heads, seems like it would produce more power than that :/.

  15. Yeah, but does it look as cool? :D:p

You know, if it tilts back, it really doesn't seem as heavy.
