Just for grins,I spent a half hour on Sat.trying out the Digitech RP200 FX pedal(street price $149) with a 5 string bass. After a liitle tweaking of things like EQ,compression, and turning off the distortion,I was hearing some really nice sounds that I could see working well in some situations.Of course,I was playing through a good bass rig(SWR 750 amp,Eden D115T cab)but I was liking what I heard even though this thing is marketed as a guitar pedal. It's got the usual suspects chorus, flange, delay, reverb, and auto wah, pedal wah,and octave which works pretty well IMHO.It has more FX and more patches to store 'em in than the Bass Pod,and costs less than half.
