I'd rather they sent me a free intake manifold and kept the t-shirts.

They make decent heads but they're pricey.

Coombs? Never heard of 'em. Must be only in your neck of the woods.

Anyhow, just wanted to share the deal with the TBers. :hyper:

Thinking about it the only heads I've probably never played with would be Edelbrock. I've had experience with Dart, Pro-Filer, Canfield, Trick Flow, Brodix, Merlin, and stock GM heads with alot of port work.

I do like their intake manifolds, but hate their carburetors.

    Why the carbs? Bad experience?

I've got one of their throttle bodies, and may be in the market for a fresh set of heads in the near future, considering the rapid decline my personal vehicle is taking.

Yep. Specifically their carbs that are based off the old Carter AFB. I could never seem to get one to run right, or when it did it wouldn't hold adjustments for too long. Most guys I knew that aslo tried one of those carbs had similar results.

The Edelbrock carbs that are based off the Rochester Quadrajet are decent, but they're nothing more than a Q-jet with Edelbrock's name stamped on them.

Ahh. I've seen mixed reviews. But better reviews nowadays.

Summit seems to like them, alot of their dressed crate engines come with an Eddy carb.

I'd rather have a Quadrajet or a simple old Holley.
