hey people, my dad gave me some white pickup covers to try out on my Mike Dirnt mexican fender p-bass.
The more i look at it with white pickups the more i like it as the scratchplate is white also.
Or do you prefer Black? or 1 black 1 white?

I think ill stick with 2 whites for now to get used to it, i like that ive customised it slightly.
Oh and i fixed my little problem with the bass output jack... i just needed to bend the metal prong thing out a bit. job done.

Heres some pics i thooght ide share of the bass.. IMG_2877.jpg

Oh, DEFINITELY White! It matches the guard, and c'mon how often do you see white P covers?

cheers for you replies, cream sounds good also.

I'm getting used to the all white now, it matches the pickguard but also is nice and light like the bass itself, if only i had a maple neck on it aswell;)

I dont think the white looks cheap:rollno: maybe in the pics they do, but in the flesh i think it looks really profesional looking, and the main reason i think ill keep the whites on is it's different from the other mike dirnt p-basses now.

hey i've still got the blacks to mix it up if i fancy it.

    cheers , rik:bassist:

    I like the white!

I just bought a set of creme ones for my olywhite&tort 62 RI P bass...

  12. I like the pup covers to match the pg, which should match the bass if we are talking black or white.

i wonder what it would look like with a pickguard that was half white, half black ??
i wonder if there is a way of getting someone to do one ?
have the bottom black and the D n' G pups black also
then have the top white with the E n' A pups white

yeh, on second thoughts the crazy idea about the 2 colour pick guard is a step too far.
I'm gonna keep the whites on.
