Time Out NY, a really well circulated entertainment magazine in our fine city, did a full page article on The Nerve! It comes out tomorrow (though I hear it's available on most newstands thursday). I can't wait till all the girls who ever dumped me and said I'd never amount anything read it! Yeah! This'll show em, won't it. This'll stick it in their faces, won't it! Won't it?

Hey, ya know, all those girls are all fat now, and I still look pretty good :).

Rock on, dude. Remember, any press is good press.
  3. Can I have your autograph?

Maybe we'll get to read it at their website....

Well, how's the song go, "If I can make it there/I can make it (bah-boooomp) aaaaanywhere....."

You may now rightfully claim your swelled head and inflated ego! ;)

Did you or a manager have to push to get your band the ink or was it just serendipity (a.k.a., "the fruits of your labor" in some circles)???

True serendipity, plus "the fruits of our labor". A stranger, who saw and loved us, has been trying to help us out over the past few months cuz he had some connections. One of them happened to be a writer for Time Out. He passed our CD along, and the writer emailed me saying he loved the stuff, but couldn't do a write-up because his editor doesn't allow band write-ups. I wrote back suggesting a few angles that might be a little more interesting than just a band write-up, one of which was the fact that we play hospital gigs for mental patients. He loved the idea, followed us along (we just so happened to have had one coming up), and wrote an article. We hit it off with the guy too. He came to our last show, and we now have a new friend and a new Nerve fan.

    I like happy stories.

Hey, were you out on the street near Washington Sq Park giving massages at a street market on June 2nd??? This guy really looked like you. Must have been you. You stood out because everyone else was Korean. I wish you hadn't chased me down the block like that, it was embarrassing.

    Congrats on the Article...
