    Hey guys,

I got a little sick of coming to Talkbass and only have time to edit posts, send scolding PMs and basically look after children. So I decided, that I wanted to get some joy out of Talkbass, so I thought I'd talk to my friends and colleagues, Odie and john.

How are you guys doing? What's new? How's music? How's tricks? Anything interesting going on? All that politics stuff is crazy huh?? Seen any good movies lately, read any good books? Any suggestions?

I hear you!! Never thought I would have to clean up so many piles of poopoo!!

No time to enjoy books and music. My 4 year old forced me to take her to Kangaroo Jack. Believe me its Oscar material!

Singer got sent out with the reserves. So I guess that is as close as I want to get to political at this momment!

i hear ya, jazzbo. in fact, i was sorta thinking that it would be cool to have a sort of "teacher's lounge" for the mods where we could all lean back and enjoy each other's company, maybe talk about some of the more pernicious weenies acting up, and just generally enjoy ourselves.

on a happy front, we're finally getting our cd back from the mastering engineer! w00t! the first time he sent it to us, there were two minor glitches, but he's taken care of them and sending it to us soon. i spent 2 or 3 days last week working with a photographer on pics for the cover - it's been great fun.

we're gigging the end of february, beginning of march. i think we're shooting for a few gigs a week, at least every weekend. we might be playing some dive-y bars, but hey, that's the fun, right?

    how's life with you jb?

I might actually prefer editing political threads to watching Kangaroo Jack. That's just rough man, rough.

You couldn't convince her to see Darkness Falls? ;)

Well sign me up for a final version of the CD. Just send me the info and I'm on that.

Have you given any real thought to a west coast tour. While ligistics are tough, I bet the SF and LA markets would really support your sound. Maybe you can grab Gard and a few others, and swing on over for a west coast party. I'll get Blackbird, Dave Grossman and some others, and we can have the first All-American TB get together.

As far as me, I've just formed an 8 piece Motown/Soul cover band which looks to be fun. We'll have some difficulties concerning rehearsal scheduling, so it may never get off the ground, but I'm really hoping it does.

Man that MOD lounge is a really good idea, send it to Paul JT!

Sign me up for a CD too. If you need a list of venues in the Twin Cities area or La Crosse area let me know. We could maybe finally have a upper midwest get together. Maybe drag Ryan Lunneborg and drummerdude and others.

thanks jb. mid march is when the cd looks to be available for sale, but we have to get the liner notes put together first, and this might slow things down a bit depending on who we can find to do the final layout. the cd replication houses say that the turnaround is 2-3 weeks, which is fabulous, so i'm thinking that we can definitely get the liner notes all done by the end of february.

thanks you guys for your support.

we would _love_ to do gigs in out west and up minnesota-ways. we're probably going to look into doing that kind of thing in a few months.

you know, a tb-tour would be cool, with tb bands all gig-swapping and on the road. something like that would be really tough to coordinate, but if it could happen it would be really cool, i think.

So JT did you run the idea to Paul about having a MOD lounge?? That would be a cool way of networking and watching problematic troll types.

Another idea I had was to have Mod access carryover to other forums in a restricted fashion. Kinda like an emergency plan for problems that happen, like this weekend and last weekend(The porn troll infestation). That way if no one is around in OT but a Bass or Misc Mod is around and there is an immediate problem it can be taken care of.
