Did you send it to MTD to be repaired? So their not making a new neck, just repairing it

Thats cool, you got it fixed with out any funds going into it!

To be honest, I don't think you will get normal used value out of the basses being its history, which is usually 1800-2200.

Tuff call on what it will sell for, I'm sure structurally it will be fine, but people will still shy away from it unless its a good deal.

Good luck with the bass, looks Great!!

i didn't send it away to mtd....
but the neck wasn't that bad...

    i may just keep it

  15. OK, let's take a long, honest look at the sitch:
You got a USA MTD fiver for, what, $200 or $300 in abyssmal condition after some poor jabroni ran it over. You pay a few hundred to repair or replace the neck, and get the body repaired (very, very well) for FREE.
So, when all is said and done, you will have paid 20% of the going rate for such a bass, it is probably still a world-class machine, and it has a hell of a story built into it.
I take it you can afford to eat at the moment. If this is the case, and you sell it, you're crazy.
Grumpy as hell but apologetic about it,
