Can my carpet and your carpet be friends?
LOL! This belongs in the best/worst background thread... for worst. Fortunately for you, that Elrick is sweet, otherwise it would be a total loss.
Hey, my carpet may not have the color, shimmer, and shine it had when it was installed 40 years ago, and it may be filthy and covered in leaves and dirt, and it may have a garbage bag or two on it, but.....wait, what was I saying?
rofl that carpet is sweet!
but seriously, nice Elrick. the only think i don't like about them is their massive paddle headstocks.
and IMHO, the headstocks are the best part.
Bryan, no offense but I seriously doubt that carpet ever had any shimmer or shine to it And putting that beautiful Elrick on it ... well, that's just not right ....... kinda like putting Heather Locklear's head on Rosie O'Donnell's body .....
Ladies and gentlemen, when you see a carpet to bass quality ratio this big, you know you've witnessed real dedication....
I like the big 2x4 plank in the background. It's very Steinbergerish.
To quote Ramirez from Highlander, "We are brothers!!!"
That's exactly what I was thinking!!! Now if I could just get my wife to see things this same way . . .
Man, I need some ugly carpet. Maybe nice basses will start appearing!
Honest to god, I really do like that carpet.
I actually have carpet just like that in my bedroom back at my parents house -- I picked it out myself when I was in middle school, over 20 years ago.
Heck, it's not even close to as bad as the heinous wallpaper that befouled the walls of my house prior to us moving in . . . We actually saved scraps of it because we figured no one would believe exactly how ugly it is without concrete evidence. The most amazing part is that at some point in time, someone actually selected it for the house, presumably over other options. What the heck could they possibly have been thinking?
