    New Here.. hope this is an acceptable use of the forum. If not let me know.

    I have the opportunity to buy what is being said is a 63 P Bass that was mod'd.
    It is a Frankenstein but it plays and sounds great!

    I know the pickups are not original
    I know the bridge is not original
    I know metal shielding is not original.
    Looks like the pickup routing was changed.

    Im really more curious knowing that the neck and body really are 63 or not.

    Anyone can shed light on the neck pocket and neck? Im not well versed on what to expect to see in those places.

    Roast away but Im not buying it for vintage value, just curious what I got.

    It's impossible to tell based on those pics. The refin has covered any identifiable neck pocket markings, and the one pic of the neck butt doesn't really do anything either. Good Luck!
