What are the different string gauges available for the high C on a five string? What's a good brand?

Anything from 025 to 035 for a high c depending on the rest of your set.

You should be able to contact a reseller and they can point you to the right string gauge for your needs.

You open yourself up to a lot more available sets buying a 4 or 5 string set plus singles.

Hex core I like .032, round core .028 is where it's at.

  6. I would use a .30 Gauge my self but for what am doing a 35 is going to be what am going to have to use. Brand wise I would ask SLaPiNFuNK.
