    Maybe you techs can help:
On one of my graphite-necked Status',
I'm getting some fret buzz only on the 4th fret - mostly the D string.

I'm guessing that probably means a high fret somewhere, right? If so, which one should I look into?
Any easy fixes that would aviod a trip to the guitar repair shop?

Do you know how to adjust the action of your bass? You can adjust the truss rod to increase neck relief, or raise the saddle at the bridge for the D string. If the fret is really high, it can be filed down, but best leave that to someone who knows what they are doing.

I've got the action down pretty low, but no buzz anywhere else - just right around the 4th fret...

There is no truss rod to adjust, which is good, because I'd be tweaking constantly...

I figured it if was a neck issue, I'd have buzz in more areas than just this one?

Take it to a good service tech for a fret job.
