Hip Hop Tabs especially The Roots

    I figured out some Jurassic 5 song awhile back. I'll go listen to it and try to refresh my memory then I'll put it into tab and either post it on here or email it to you..if you want it.:)

    J5 is another of my favorite hip hop groups, supposedly coming out with another cd around November. thanks man

    A lot of classic rap songs use/borrow bass lines from popular soul/funk tunes. Check out some original James Brown and Parliament Funkadelic and you'll hear an entire 80s and 90s catalog of hip hop basslines.

    Other than that: The bass line to Chic's "Good Times" is the exact bass line used in "Rapper's Delight" by The Sugarhill Gang.

    Also, the Jackson 5's "ABC" is used in Naughty by Nature's amazing "Ghetto Bastard."

    There are hundreds of examples.
