I finally had it installed on my bass last night & when I tried it out I noticed that you have to depress it pretty hard to hear the change in pitch. Anybody have this installed on their bass & if so is this normal? The only experience I have with a whamy bar is on guitars, which is much easier to get those swells.

I think you can adjust the springs a little to make it easier to bend, but make sure it still returns it to pitch.

I haven't noticed any change in tone though I'm not too sensitive to things like that. This is the bass I started on so I wasn't too worried about comminting to routing it for the tremolo. Yeah you can pull up on the whammy bar but only for maybe a semitone in difference of pitch. The tech support is great though, he already told me to remove a spring to loosen the tension.
