Hipshot Brass A Style Bridge

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Ramrod74, May 23, 2018.

  1. Just changed out the factory bridge on my Yamaha TRBX 174 for a Hipshot Brass A Style bridge. What a difference....WOW. Suddenly my inexpensive Bass sounds like a $2000 plus instrument. More punch, more sustain, cleaner overall on all frets. Took about an hour to change out the bridge/s including saddle set-up and intonation. I've upgraded many Basses but this mod. on the TRBX 174 provided the most profound improvement to an instrument (not that it was that bad to start with) I have experienced. If your not sure about Hi-Mass Bridge technology, (and I wasn't, but took the plunge anyway) this made a believer out of me.

I recently put a Hipshot Supertone bridge on my kinda sad $50 garage sale Epiphone EB-0, but it doesn't sound like a $2000+ instrument, more like $1999. ;)

Does anyone else get the feeling there should be at least ONE photo in that big empty void? Or is it just me?
