Hipshot HB1 on an G&L 2000e series

    I am about to pull the trigger on an set of 4 hipshot HB1 for my G&L... I just want to make sure that they will fit perfectly on my bass and.. so i dont have to drill holes on my baby :)

    Yeah, that's what I'd do if I had any concerns - IME/IMO, they're a very good company that's quite knowledgeable about their products and specific applications...

  7. Hi, nice bass you have!

    For what it might be worth, I installed black HB1s on my '94 SB2 and it was a direct fit, screw holes and all, although I kept the original collars the tuning pegs fit into because the Hipshot ones weren't quite as snug in the peg holes for whatever reason. I would definitely reach out to Hipshot if you are still on the fence. Good luck!
