Hipshot tuner broke - what to do.

    one of my Hipshot tuners broke of in a middle of setup. i don't know how. i didn't run any extra force on it.

    what should i do? is it fixable or should i buy new one?

    E-mail Jason @ www.hipshotproducts.com and tell him what happened....include the pics. He should be able to help. Normally, I'd recommend calling but that would be one heck of a long distance bill.

    I have had no problems with them replacing broken products...

    If you can do small spot-welds it is fixable. Otherwise, you could try a dab of extra-strength metal glue like JB-Weld, but that's kind of a small area, it might not grab enough.

    Hipshot will take care of you though, their service is outstanding.

    Doubtful...but it is replaceable.

    Keep us informed. Hipshot has never let me down.

    Bill and Jason are great guys. In fact, the entire team is just fantastic all-around. While you may be out the cost of some shipping, they'll surely help you out.

    Not to revive a "dead' thread, but this problem happened to 2/4 of my Hipshot tuners in a set. Mine were black. Is this a more widespread problem than is acknowledged?

    Sorry that i forgot to reply. long time had passed, but Bill from Hipshot made contact with me after he saw the thread and sent me replacement key. that what costumer service should be like!

    Was the key broken? Or the brackets holding the key to the tuner?

    From the picture in the first post, it appears to be the bracket that holds the key in place.
