    hi there,

I have the opportunity to buy a Hiwatt Custom 100 head (2-INPUT).

I looked through the posts and found out that the 4-INPUT is better for bass than the 2-INPUT head.

The question is , is the 2-INPUT good enough for bass or should I invest elsewhere?

    Any info would be great.

It depends on what kind of deal you're getting on the Hiwatt and if you like the sound.

The 2-input models have slightly more gain in the preamp, but it should still sound fantastic for bass.

Are the 2 inputs really HiWAtts or Fernandes? Real Hiwatts are available as HIWATTS or REEVES. Don't mess around.

Fernandes Hiwatts are now made by Music Ground in England, the same people who makes the UK Hiwatts and the Reeves amps. Also, the 2-input ones were the biacrown era ones.
