Well, I was just grooving around last night and my friend Kelly tells me on MSN that she and another friend have an idea that we should make a band (both her and her friend are very talented singers). So basically, this summer I'll be joining my very first band. From the looks of it, it'll be a classic rock cover band I guess with the following spots: Vocals (2) Bass Drums Guitar Saxophone Trombone (I think) At the moment, we've got the following songs on our "to learn" list: Eye of the Tiger Tainted Love Magic Carpet Ride Life is a Highway Mustang Sally Any suggestions for songs, or just tips on being in a band in general?
Congrats man...looks like some pretty good covers, sounds like you're gonna have a good summer Gig your ass off... Take Care, best of wishes, -Jon
It very well could happen, we have a saxophonist and besides the one trombone, the vocalist also plays that too. So why not?
If you've got horns you gotta do Sir Duke. Turn the Page is also popular if you have a sax. Add any Steely Dan you can. I personally recommend Kid Charlemagne, but I think only the musicians properly appreciate that one.
