hmm... (more IOD repair fun goodness)

    so i call SWR to send my interstellar overdrive to them, and i'm informed that they don't do ANY repairs in house anymore. instead a company called Audio Design something or other down the street from the factory does it.

    apparently they haven't been doing repairs for 7-8 months.


    is this fishy? should i still send it to the place they said i should, or is it no different than the place i took it to before?


    kinda odd though.

    perhaps it depends on which swr center to which you took it. a few years ago i took a workingman's combo to their Sun Vally location and they helped me out. i looked around where it all happens- it was pretty cool. i even got a free swr t shirt out of it.

    if its still under warranty, go with their guys.

    Yes, if it's a warranty job, send it there. If it's not, are there any audio/electronics repair shops in your region? Better yet, a tube amp tech?
