Though UPS screwed this up and delivered it, along with other guitars that were in the truck, to the local guitar center. They did not bother to check the address and make sure that it was supposed to go to my house. They just assumed that everything looked guitar-like was going to the guitar center. Luckily the shipping receiver at guitar center noticed, was honest enough to seek out my phone number in their system, and give me a call. I will open the box and unveil the bass in a few hours when I get home!
It would be nice if the UPS scanners sent an alarm when the driver performs a delivery scan and the package is miles away from the correct destination. GPS anyone?
Face palm directed at UPS. Fer cryin' out loud. Conversely, how about a nice round of golf claps for Guitar Center. Considering all the flak they get around here when they screw the pooch, I'd say they deserve a little recognition for taking the initiative and extra step. Me likey Eastwood products. Never a dull moment. Hit the gas, yo, five over won't get you a ticket.
Whenever I see a post like this I always advocate for setting your packages to will call & picking them up yourself. I have saved myself a lot of hassle with UPS by doing it that way & I get my packages about 5 hours faster that way.
Yep, I agree .... I wanted to make sure to mention GC .... they definitely came through, and were great about this UPS mess up !
Unless there's a unicorn in that box, the reveal will have a hard time living up to the suspense at this point.
