File this one under "Life is Stranger than Fiction"
to bad you cant copywrite chord progessions.
What are you talking about? Whenever I hear E followed by F, Metallica *immediately* springs to mind.
That cannot be real surely.
Its fake, there are two other threads about it already.
I'd say file this under "parody"!
I seriously doubt this is "for real", thus making it a parody ; if I am wrong, then Metallica has truly become a parody of themselves .
...I mean, c'mon, the chord progression E to F is NOT copyrightable, and if it were, the anonymous composer of "Malageña" should come back from the grave and sue Metallica for stealing HIS chord progression!
This is funny but definately fake, just check out the other ,,headlines"
If this was real, Black Sabbath could sue zillions of metal bands, especially Metallica, particularly for stealing the little solo at the end of "Fairies Wear Boots" and putting it into "For Whom The Bell Tolls"...
Edit: Had to add this:
it is real... there was a story about it on the Metallica website
Funny I hear E to F and always think of Jaws
belay that.... I just realized they are fake sites...
yep, sorry guys but this is old news
Not real....just a hoax....hahahahaha....Yeah, Darrin sent it to me, and I flew off the handle....So he got me
Argh...I've been had.
I should have known it was too stupid to be true. Any other band and I would have automatically dismissed it. I guess I just figured Metallica was stupid enough to do it...
and that is what makes this so ironic and hilarious. people on another board were calling people gullable (sp?) over it and i was like "they arent gullable, it just shows the low point metallica has reached to make something like this seem reasonable from them"
Gard hits the bull's eye again!
I haven't listened to that one in a while.
how much do you want to bet they are going to sue for slander (or something like that)?
