This hasn't been done for a while, so I thought I'd bring it up again. What hobbies are you all into? No....playing bass doesn't count! I play with fire on a regular basis. I work on a torch to make glass beads, sculptures and Christmas ornaments...stuff like that....mostly beads, though. You can check out what handmade glass beads look like on my web site, but I have to warn you, it's not very current! http://go.to/awesomebeads So....what do you guys play with? Lisa

I actually play bass for a living, but I have this medical thing on the side that looks pretty promising. I am hoping to do something with it someday, hell I may even find someone stupid enough to pay me to do it!!! Dare we but to dream? Mike

My role seems to be one of the only voices here advocating the art, yes i said the art, of country music bass playing, and i don't mean the current radio crap. I don't mind that role one bit, and i will defend what i love to play to the hilt. I don't mind a bit if a fellow bassist says they hate country music, hey more for me, but when they say it's easy to play or disresepct it in some other way, well there i have to draw the line and conclude the person is somewhat of an ignorant hypocrite. And i will tell them just that. I've got a great sense of humor, and i know that country music is easily ribbed, disrespect for playing the genre is another thing to me. I mean, what would you tell some idiot in a club who tells you playing a 4 string instrument is somehow easier than one with 6 or whatever. Other than that i mostly just lurk, and post on occasion when the spirit moves me. Trent
Well, film-making is kind of a bigee with me, electronics is my biggest hobby(besides bass of course!).
i'm into rifle marksmanship...i don't dig hunting at all, though. i'm mostly into silhouette shooting-both smallbore and high-power. and when no one's around to shoot with, i usually do NRA small bore postal matches (paper targets). i'm trying to find some groups up here in the pacific northwest. i'm also into traditional archery (to include fletching and cresting)---again, just targets. i also dig riding my motorcycle---currently, a '98 triumph speed triple in roulette green
Mixing drinks is becoming a hobby for me, and contributes a lot to my collection of liquor bottles. Drinking of course, see above. Hanging around the pool hall at school all afternoon and spouting off capitalist bull**** to anyone who'll listen. Hee hee, I like having morning classes instead. I suppose being a commerce student too, but I don't think that really counts as a hobby.
Jennifer, do you mean that your farm isn't huge, or that the livestock you raise are only 12 inches high? Sorry, You get a free "Break a bottle over Mike's head coupon." Yes, I'd like to see pictures of them. Speaking of pictures, that's my main hobby: Photography. I've been saying this for almost a year, but, soon I'll post some of my stuff. Mike J.
Another traditional archer here, longbows and recurves only. Spare time I do some glass etching and I was a motorcycle fanatic about 4 knee surgeries ago.
Let's see: * Photography (left over interest from my photojournalist days) * Amateur radio * Shooting * Model railroads * Community service (the county equivalent of FEMA) * Whatever else strikes my fancy
